
Panama’s New Digital Driver's License

You’ve probably seen the news that Panama’s Land Transit and Transportation Authority (ATTT) has authorized the use of a digital driver's license for mobile phones as a valid identification document. According to ATTT, the digital format offers advantages such as greater accessibility, secure authentication, reduced risk of loss, and simplified procedures. The app will also include additional services such as notifications of violations, expiration dates, vehicle inspections, and the ability to pay fines directly from the app, which is supposed to cost around $7 and be available starting this October.
